| 内容記述 | As of 2008, more than two million foreigners live in Japan. We call emigrants who have settled down in Japan since the 1970s “newcomers.”This paper analyses Japanese education for newcomers from the viewpoint of language planning.I have found that today the language planning for newcomers has become an issue of necessity and importance among local governments and volunteers. However,in Japanese teaching the language rights for newcomers has not been keenly noticed yet. In this paper I will show the vagueness of the concept of language planning for them and discuss its necessity for newcomers in Japanese education. |
