| 内容記述 | 明治维新以后，日本势力不断扩张，国家神道也随之走向海外。在此过程中，神道的活动场所与象征建筑 ― 神社 ― 既处海外，就必须面对是否以及如何在地化的问题。大体而言，日本官民多支持在海外建造神社，但对于小笠原省三等人推动的在地化进程却予以反对。表面上，在地化涉及海外神社的建筑样式、祭神选择等技术性议题；从更深层次看，它是日本帝国扩张与宗教调适之间互相缠斗的产物，是一个无解的难题。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | After Meiji Restoration, the Japanese forces continued to expand, and State Shinto that combined traditional elements with the will of state also went overseas. In this process, shrines that were the symbolic architecture of Shinto must face the question of whether and how to be localized. In general, Japanese officials and civilians supported the construction of oversea shrines, but opposed the localization process promoted by Ogasawara Shozo and others. On the surface, localization involved technical issues such as the selection of architectural styles and immortals. On a deeper level, however, it was the product of the struggle between the expansion of the Japanese empire and religious adjustment, and the unresolved issue indicated the fate of the collapse of the Japanese empire. | |||||
