| 内容記述 | This paper aims to summarize the characteristics of geographical recognition based on the lesson plans created by trainee teachers （students in a teacher training course） regarding regional problems found in rural Japan. The result show that many trainees recognize population-related problems such as depopulation, population decline, declining birthrate, and aging population as regional problems found in rural areas of Japan. On the other hand, there is a tendency to regard locations other than metropolitan areas as rural areas, and many trainees had vague geographical recognition. Moreover, some trainees equated the decrease in the number of farmers and aging of farmers with the aging of rural areas. From 2022, “geography” will be a compulsory subject in high school. It is becoming increasingly important to educate trainee teachers who do not specialize in geography regarding geographical concepts and perspectives such as regional characteristics and regional differences in phenomena. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | 本稿では、日本の農村地域にみられる地域問題について、学生が作成した授業プランの内容を基に地理的認識の特徴を整理した。過疎をはじめ、人口減少や少子化、高齢化といった人口にかかわる問題を、日本の農村地域にみられる地域問題として認識している学生が多いことがわかった。その一方で、大都市圏以外の地域を農村地域として捉える傾向があり、地理的認識が漠然としている学生が多くみられた。また、農業従事者の減少や高齢化と、農村地域の高齢化を同一視して捉えている学生もみられた。2022度から高等学校において「地理総合」が必履修科目となる。地理を専門としない学生に、現象の地域性や地域差といった地理学の見方・考え方を強く意識させることが、教職課程の講義で一層重要になっている。 | |||||||||
