| 内容記述 | Kyoto, which is a historic city with many traditional, cultural assets, suffered some confl agrations in the Edo period. Among them is the great fi re of 1854, when the Shogunate Government concluded an amity treaty with the USA and Russia. This fi re burnt down the Imperial Palace and thousands of people's houses in only hours. This report is a rough sketch of the Kyoto confl agration and the reconstruction of the city in a diffi cult situation. |
