| 内容記述 | In this paper, I conducted a vocabulary survey of the Korean causative verb <VN-sikida> in editorials in the JoongAng Daily (2016-20) and novels awarded the Lee Sang Literature Award for 30 years (1986-2015), and I examined the characteristics of usages and derivation processes. Considering the frequency and the status of derivation of <VN-hada> to <VNsikida>, it became clear that there were many derivations from transitive verbs: the frequency of <VN-sikida> was not high, and the derivation processes were not productive. Two vocabulary surveys of <VN-sikida> revealed the usages of 535 verbs. The numbers of <VN-sikida> are decreasing year by year, and this can be interpreted as weakening of the function of <VN-sikida> as a causative verb. | |||||
