| 内容記述 | The Libro de Alexandre is a 10,700 line epic poem which was supposedly written in the first third of the thirteenth century. This poem is not an ordinary biography of Alexander the Great because his life story is interrupted by many diverse events, such as the Trojan war of around 1200 B.C. While Alexander the Great lived in the fourth century B.C., this poem was written in the thirteenth century AD. The author is unknown, but may be a cleric. However, the mix of ages that can be seen throughout the poem is one of its most remarkable characteristics. The work is written in the erudite form of ‘cuaderna vía（four-fold way）, the style of which has been called ‘mester de clerecía’（The art of scholars）, as compared with ‘mester de juglaría’（The art of minstrels）. This time translation is made between strophes 196 and 399. | |||||||
