The objective of this project is to introduce a hidden part of plants, meiotic chromosomes, to the public and to share our interest in plants with the general public. As children are increasingly becoming disinterested in science, we hope that this project will increase their interest in nature and science. This is the first report of our activity. So far, we have succeeded in observing all stages of meiosis in three kinds of plants, Brassica rapa L., Lamium amplexicaule L., and Solanum nigrum L.}, pages = {75--80}, title = {神奈川大学湘南ひらつかキャンパスで見られる草木の染色体を観察してみようプロジェクト平成19年度報告}, volume = {19}, year = {2008} }
