On many occasion, VR compounds are used in perfective situations with the perfective suffix – le(了), but never occur with the continuous suffix – zhe(着). And some VR compounds can co-occur with the progressive form zai/zhengzai(在/正在), while the others can not.In this paper, I provide an analysis for such phenomena that concern occurrence of aspect forms in VR compounds: the inherent aspectual properties of VR compounds would restrict aspect forms that VRs can use. If a VR compound takes a [+degree] property, because it has degree to achieve the endpoint, then this can be used in the progressive., Article}, pages = {107--127}, title = {動詞-結果補語複合語(VR)と時態}, volume = {40}, year = {2018} }
