There are many Korean language\ntextbooks for the elementary level, but far fewer for the intermediate\nand advanced levels. Also, many textbooks for the elementary\nlevel contain grammatical items for constructing basic structures of\nsentences such as particles and conjugations. In many elementary\ntextbooks, the past form, which is one of the most important grammatical\nitems in elementary courses, are not covered until the latter\npart of the books. This often causes elementary learners to go into\nintermediate courses without enough practice of past forms. In intermediate\nand advanced courses, voice, auxiliary verbs, and adjectives\nare the main grammatical items which should be taught, but\nthere are some problems in that these grammatical items are treated\ndifferently in each textbook. For example, they are sometimes\nconfused with idioms.
