characteristics even under high‐strain‐rate\nconditions.Based on a series of cyclic loading tests,a significant correlation between the brace’s cumulative strain energy until\nthe failure and‐restrainig force was revealed.When the brace’s cumulative strain energy is given as a design condition,the buckling‐restrained brace\nis designed using the proposed performance evaluation formula.\nIn this paper,different specimens from what used in the past tests such as with different core plate width‐to‐thickness rations and restraining forces,and with\ndifferent unbonded material thicknesses and cross section details are fabricated and located.\nThe strict scope of application for the performance evaluation formula proposed by the previous paper is difined by considering the test
