So far, two dimensional approximation or three dimension treatment has been proposed and practically applied for analysis of these structures. It is well known that power transmission characteristics can be improved by cutting appropriately the corner of this bend section. The appropriate cut for the bend section has been practically determined by microwave software (electromagnetic field simulator) or experimental method. In order to treat this problem analytically and exactly, the method based on 2D planer circuit model and the equivalent network based on eigen-mode expansion method is proposed here ; the power transmission characteristics are calculated, and the optimum cut is investigated and discussed through these analysis.
