| 内容記述 | 青森県大間町では、航海の守護神として信仰される媽祖（天妃）の文化が受け継がれており、これは中国福建省から東アジア全域に広がった信仰である。日本には江戸時代に伝来し、特に水戸藩からの勧請によって大間町に根付いた。地元の船主たちの間で信仰が広がり、媽祖信仰は地域の文化の一部となった。 本稿は、江戸時代から現代にかけての大間町における天妃信仰の変遷とその文化的意義を探るものであり、特に1996年以降の新たな媽祖像の勧請やそれによる地域文化の再生と展開に注目している。天妃信仰は、大間町において歴史的に深く根付いているだけでなく、現代においても地域のアイデンティティとして重要な役割を果たしている。現地調査と先行研究を基に、媽祖文化がどのように伝承され、地域社会にどのような影響を与えているかを考察し、その文化が大間町における文化的な機能を明らかにしている。本研究は、大間における天妃信仰の歴史的背景を解明するだけでなく、現代におけるその意義を評価するものであり、地域文化の継承と発展に貢献することを目指している。 |

| 内容記述 | The town of Ōma in Aomori Prefecture has inherited the culture of Mazu （also known as Tianfei）, the guardian deity of seafarers. This belief, which originated in Fujian Province, China, and spread across East Asia, was introduced to Japan during the Edo period and took root in Ōma, particularly through the efforts of the Mito domain. Mazu worship became widespread among local shipowners, eventually becoming an integral part of the townʼs culture. This paper explores the evolution of Tianfei worship in Ōma from the Edo period to the present day and examines its cultural significance, with a particular focus on the new Mazu statue enshrined in 1996 and the subsequent revitalization and development of local culture. Tianfei worship in Ōma is not only historically ingrained but also continues to play a vital role in shaping the townʼs identity in modern times. Based on fieldwork and previous studies, this research analyzes how Mazu culture has been transmitted and the impact it has had on the local community, clarifying its cultural function within Ōma. This study aims not only to uncover the historical background of Tianfei worship in Ōma，but also to assess its contemporary relevance, contributing to the preservation and development of regional culture. | |||||||
