This was against the background of the promulgation and enforcement of Chinaʼs “Marriage Law”, alongside changes in Japanese society. However, more senior overseas Chinese residents in Japan, along with the executive committee of the Chinese Students Association in Japan（CSAJ）, and the editors of the “Chinese Students ʼ Press in Japan”seem ［ed］ to have the attitude that marriages for love ［were］ a phenomenon that should be reversed. International marriages, that is, marriages between Chinese and Japanese people, should be avoided and the trend of many international marriages that had already taken place should be reversed.\n On the other hand, from the opinions of Chinese overseas students in Japan and the rebuttal articles of readers on the marriage issue, we learned that not all Chinese oversea students in Japan and young Japanese readers of “Chinese Studentsʼ Press in Japan” necessarily agreed with the opinions of CSAJ.
