He tried to form electric power company and railroad company in this local area. In parallel, he was a committed hobbyist. He was a collector of antique, and liked to write tanka poetry, Chinese poem, and so on. He also liked to play shamisen. His discriminating eye and skills for those were professional levels.\n　As a result, Morihachi had declined. In 1911, the Morishita family transferred the business of Morihachi to the Nakamiya family, the relative of the Morishitas.\n　In this article, we clarify the detail of Morihachi business based on new historical records and analyze the 12th Morihachi’s attempt to start up the businesses. Thereby we investigate the characteristic of investment in infrastructural business in local area in the Meiji Era, in addition to financial support to Morihachi business.
