It bases its examination on articles from CSAJʼs periodical publication over a period of seven years. Note CSAJ was established in 1946 as a nationwide group of international students from mainland China and Taiwan who were studying in Japan. 　Historically, while the CSAJ was under the guidance of the ROC, the former often struck a pro-Communist tone in its articles. After the People's Republic of China （PRC） was established, the ROC government attempted to bring the CSAJ and its members back into its fold. However, article analysis showed that the ROC was ultimately unsuccessful. 　Finally, the composition of student membership ultimately changed by the end of the period examined. As a result of the PRCʼs efforts, most members of the CSAJ at the time eventually returned to mainland China, even if they had originally come from Taiwan.
