In geography lessons, it is expected to perform regional analysis using a Geographic Information System（GIS）. Teachers who are not geographic experts and trainee teachers（students in a teacher training course） need to learn how to use geographic information systems. One of the effective means to solve this problem is to use Web GIS that can be operated on the Internet. Web GIS is easy to operate. Therefore, if the teacher does not pay attention to the rules regarding map representation, there is a high possibility that an incorrect map（without orientation and scale, choropleth maps showing absolute values, etc） will be created.
