However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, people are placing greater importance on exercising and walking at a distance from other people around their homes, and it is thought that the relationship between the environment surrounding the home and physical activity has changed significantly in terms of the content and strength of the relationship. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey to understand the current status of physical activity, such as exercise and walking, among middle-aged and elderly people living in urban areas, and analyzed the influence of the surrounding environment on the amount of physical activity. We compared the results with those of existing studies and discussed the effect of the surrounding environment on physical activity during COVID-19 pandemic.
