The year 2021 marks the tenth anniversary of〈3/11〉, and various genres of works have been created on the theme of the series of events. In this paper, I also focus on the special exhibition “Artists and the Disaster : Imagining in the 10th Year” （Art Tower Mito Contemporary Art Gallery, February 20 to May 9, 2021）. The main subject of my analysis is Hikaru Fujiiʼs The Classroom Divided by a Red Line（2021）, a work exhibited in this special exhibition. Through these considerations, I attempt to examine contemporary art that uses〈3/11〉 as a motif.　In Chapter 1, I sketch the reactions of contemporary artists after 〈3/11〉. In Chapter 2, I discuss Hikaru Fujiiʼs work using〈3/11〉 as a motif, as well as his commentary and evaluation.
