There were many public signs posted everywhere in the city including billboards, commercial signs, and street signs in which many languages such as Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, German and French were used. Today we are able to observe part of the actual linguistic landscape of that period through the old photographs still extant. In this paper, we first classify the scenes of the linguistic landscape into 3 types : language maintenance, language fusion and language shift, and describe the situation of language selection and language contact. Then we clarify the relationship between the language choices by the shopkeepers and the formation of their identities. Finally we analyze the social environment variables which may have influenced the formation of these types of linguistic landscape based on the ethnodemographic and ethnopolitic data., 20世纪上半叶上海曾经是一个多语共存的社会。在那里居住着大量具有不同民族文化背景的人群。他们分别使用汉语、英语、日语、俄语、德语、法语等不同的语言。这种特定时期的社会环境虽然已经不复存在,但是19世纪摄影技术的发明及20世纪初照相机的普及,为后世留下了大量的照片资料,也为我们探索历史语言生态提供了切实的影像依据。本文主要从生态语言学的角度来研究近代上海的语言景观。我们首先对收集到的影像资料进行背景调查,然后对其中商店招牌上使用的语言进行分类。根据店主的身份及其店面语言文字的使用状况,把它们分为“语言维护型”、“语言融合型”和“语言交替型”三种基本类型。并对店主的语言选择、语言接触和他们的社会认同进行考察分析。最后,从民族人口学、民族政治学的角度,阐明影响不同类型语言景观形成的社会环境因素,为历史社会语言学中的城市语言生态研究提供一个新的视角。}, pages = {275--304}, title = {近代上海言語景観の生態言語学的類型 -ことばの選択、接触とアイデンティティ-}, year = {2021} }
