Manufacturingを導入するこ\nとによりサプライチェーンがどのように変化するかを考察した。デジタル生産時代の設計・生\n産・消費の距離という観点で物理的な移動とデータの移動に着目し、Additive Manufacturingの技術・環境が普及すれば、サプライチェーンの中でのデカップリングポイントは状態と場所という2 つの側面が鮮明化され、問題のレベルは投機・延期の問題から原材料と3Dプリンターをどこにどれだけ配置するかという場所と量が中心の単純な問題に置き換わることを指摘した。また、3Dプリンターの「造形物の多様性を実現する工作機」としての側面だけでなく、「ネットワークの末端に位置する出力装置」としての側面（生産端末としての3Dプリンター）を指摘し、消費者が設計データをダウンロードして3Dプリンターで出力するスタイルをEndxUser Manufacturingと定義した。さらに、COVID-19下において本研究の一環で公開した設計データを利用して、4ヶ月間で少なくとも49,072個のフェイスシールドが3Dプリンターを用いて生産された事例をもとにEnd User
