 note = {Among the so-called Japanese V-V compounds are those dubbed “lexical aspectual compounds” by Kageyama (2013), with properties that do not parallel the typical right-head compounds. The second verbal constituent of these compounds lacks thematic roles and contributes only the aspectual information.
