Recommended books are most commonly selected, taking the psychological development of the children into consideration. There is, however, a unique method of matching appropriate books to children based on their morphological development. In this study two booklists containing quality books for children between the ages of 0 and 3 years old are compared in detail. They were compiled by two different non-profit-making organizations offering specialist courses in children's books for adults. One of the main findings of the current study is that there exists a considerable difference in the choice of books between these two lists. Only 10 per cent of the total number of books on the lists are the same. Three conclusions can be made about the booklist which was compiled in response to the morphological development of the children.
