          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">Strucrtural retrofit work meets many difficulties for the continuous occupation of buildings，and also sometimes spoils building external appearance．An integrated façade system is researched and developed for solving those problems．Here，seismic performance is improved using seismic energy dissipation devices，and also external and environmental designs are upgraded．In this paper，the integrated façade system，which has the buckling restrained braces arranged continuously diagonally as lovers，is studied．A design method applied to structual retrofit is proposed basd on loading tests and structural analyses．</datacite:description>
