          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">In foreign language education, to improve the vocabulary of learners is one of the major challenges. Since the improvement of vocabulary can be said to be a foundation that supports conversational skills, reading comprehension, and parsing of grammar, it is important to present effective initiatives and methods in pedagogy. In particular, the introduction and presentation of methods that take into consideration the characteristics of the vocabularies and word formations of the learner’s native language will be most effective.
　This paper focuses on the usage of Chinese character verbs in multilingual signages in Japan, I discuss three-initiatives for improving Korean vocabulary and learning effects.
Initiative 1 : Enhancing application skills by means essay assignments
Initiative 2 : Strengthening vocabulary through regular tests
Initiative 3 : Test using Chinese character verbs in Japanese on campus
　I would like to refine and systematize the processes of the threeinitiatives discussed in this paper and show more concretely how effective they are in improving vocabulary. For increasing the effectiveness of the initiatives, it is necessary to devise a presentation level for elementary classes, intermediate class, and advanced classes.</datacite:description>
