COVID-19 is not the only health issue that children face. However, because of the pandemic, childrenʼs health concerns other than COVID-19 have become invisible, or people have ignored to them. The purpose of this research was to not overlook these issues and to investigatethe necessary support for childrenʼs health and healthy growth. We took records by observing participants from 44 kindergartens for three weeks and analyzed them using a qualitative research method (thematic analysis). The results revealed that there were no COVID-19 patients among these children ; however, there was hand-foot-and-mouth disease that spreads among children during the onset of summer. Indeed, health issues other than illnesses were observed more frequently. Specifically, a decrease of physical strength and motor abilities, problems with food and nutrition, a disordered lifestyle, and a lack of parents’ affection may have serious impacts on childrenʼs health and healthy growth. It would be impossible to solve these issues by caregivers only, and therefore, the support of governments and specialists of law and counseling will be necessary.
