In this paper, I conduct a vocabulary survey of the Korean passive and causative verbs in Kim Hoon's prose, Writing with a Pencil (2019), and discuss the characteristics of usage and the derivation of causative verbs and passive verbs in Chinese verbs(kangodoshi) of Korean. I would like to highlight one aspect of the use of Chinese verbs in Korean through the expressions of one Korean writer who has lived 70 years as a native speaker of Korean. Although the voice of the Korean verbs have very complicated appearances in derivation, the use of “VN-sikida”, “VN-badda”, and “VN-danghada” were less active than I expected. Based on this result, I will continue to investigate and analyze these verbs as I prepare “the Japanese-Korean Kangodoshi 7000”.
